E-bikes have been a fun way for our family to commute around campgrounds, National Parks, to and from school, or just to the grocery store. We love that our bikes make it fun and easy to get around, and the whole family can go.
We opted to go with this brand of e-bikes because they had great reviews about reliability and quality, but they were still on the reasonable side for pricing for a quality e-bike

Larger bike with the seat, fits two kids
Currently there is a special including the rear seat pad & running boards so you just need is the orbitor for kids. We have the dual battery for our larger bike, and the range is 150 miles with it. We’ve never even come close to using that capacity, so you could easily get away with just one battery. They estimate the range at 75 miles for just one. We have excellent power even with two kids on the back of this bike to climb any hill. We’ve really put it to the test climbing some passes in mountains and it’s done really great. Most importantly, the kids think it’s the coolest thing ever!

Smaller bike, single seat on rear. This bike is great for traveling because it folds in half for easier storage. It has great range at 45 miles, and has gotten us wherever we’ve needed to go. We love the single seat in the back. Our five-year-old can easily ride on it. If you have younger children, there’s the option to put a bike seat on the back instead. It also has no problem climbing big hills for power.
The rear seat is sold separately.
The nice thing about both of these bikes is, you can use the bike as a traditional bike, peddling all the power yourself, you can also use pedal assist to give a little boost, or you can use the full throttle and not pedal at all.
We found that in periods of non-use the batteries hold their charge well, the components on the bike are well-made, and overall the quality has been great.
Since getting e-bikes, we have learned that not all bike hitch racks can accommodate e-bikes. E-bikes are heavier than most traditional street or mountain bikes, and often have larger tires. Thankfully, our rack was able to accommodate the e-bikes with removal of the batteries and a few components to meet the weight limit. It’s just nice to plan for this if you’re purchasing a bike hitch rack.
