Summer hiking Tips

autiful flowers, refreshing lakes, and long days are what dreams are made of. But summer hiking can be a nightmare filled with sunburns, over heating, and bugs without the proper preparation. After years of hiking we learned that certain pieces of gear and a few tips make all the difference to squeeze the most out of those long summer days on the trail.

Bryce Canyon National Park

This national park has always been a bit elusive to us.  It’s not really on the way to anywhere, which kept if off our radar for far too long.  After a strong recommendation from a friend, we decided to make a dedicated trip to see the mystical wonders of the hoodoos.

These trail mix cookies make for a wonderful treat on the trail or even at home. They pack a good punch of fiber, protein, healthy fats and just enough sweetness. They are a great alternative or supplement to trail mix.
